    Come join the San Diego Union-Tribune as a Analytics Specialist here in beautiful downtown San Diego! We are looking for a creative problem solver with a passion to deliver digital marketing solutions here at the San Diego Union-Tribune. This crucial agency-like project management and digital campaign execution role will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and scaling of San Diego Union-Tribune’s Digital Marketing Services. The successful candidate will have a strong combination of both data acumen and excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data in a creative and illustrative manner.

    Responsibilities

    • Be the main point of communication between the San Diego Union-Tribune and vendor partners as directed.
    • Actively manage analytics dashboard setup, client facing and internal, to properly visualize campaign performance data.
    • Facilitate tag management and pixel tracking systems and troubleshoot implementation
    • Monitor and optimize campaigns in proper intervals based on spend level.
    • Develop and manage project timelines, resources, and budgetary requirements for various size projects with both internal teams and outside vendors.
    • Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with a high level of service orientation
    • Facilitate communication and resolve conflicts.
    • Ensure proper post sale execution of white glove accounts as directed.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3 years of related analytics, digital marketing, or online advertising experience working within a multi-media company is required.
    • Professional experience collaborating in an Agile environment on large-scale projects.
    • Proficiency with a range of relevant digital marketing platforms including, but not limited to, DFP, Facebook business manager, Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Demand Side Platforms and Tap Analytics.
    • Exceptional analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, including conflict resolution skills.
    • Creativity and problem solving skills are a must.
    • Comfortable communicating with and taking input from a variety of people, including senior management.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Must be able to work independently and as a member of a larger team.
